Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting.

Richard Paul Evans

What begins must end. What’s glorious today will fade tomorrow. Every beginning has an end etc. We all have heard such quotes. Have mentioned them to people ourselves in conversations. But have you ever really stood still and try to think about the meaning or the thought behind it? It’s so fascinating; we all know this but one little hardship and we start freaking out, thinking our life is over.

As if we don’t know what began will end. There is a silver lining at the end. Breathe. I myself am guilty of this. Every single time my mind goes to the devastation phase during a hardship or crisis, I try to tell myself to breathe and focus on smaller steps. Separating facts from emotions, so that i can control my emotions and accept the facts. It’s a little trick I learnt from Ryan Holiday’s books. (highly recommended). Also I remind myself that anger and frustration is just my mind feeling a loss, then I try to figure out what that lost is, usually it’s nothing and my anger and frustration is tamed or gone.

Next time when you feel lost, look outside. See the sun rise and set. Breathe. You got this.
